This accessory enhances stability when using a telephoto lens with a tripod. Install the lens and secure it to the tripod via the tripod socket located beneath the mount. Loosen the rotation lock knob to rotate the camera around the lens axis, allowing smooth switching between portrait and landscape orientations without adjusting the pan/tilt head. To attach or remove the tripod, turn the locking knob counterclockwise to align the mark with the dot, then pull the knob outward to open the loop. Place the lens into the open tripod ring, then tighten the knob to secure. Loosening the locking knob allows rotation of the camera and lens for easy adjustment between horizontal and vertical positions. Once positioned, tighten the knob to lock in place.
