Polypropylene is lightweight, absorbs very little moisture and provides useful electrical insulation, with resistance to many acids and alkalis where the material is suitable. This size suits lightweight spacers, panel separation and cut-to-length non-metallic threaded sections, especially where a simple non-metallic threaded bar is preferred over a metal fixing. The full-thread form accepts compatible M8 nuts along the rod and can be cut carefully if shorter plastic sections are needed. PP is less stiff than nylon or reinforced nylon, so check thread engagement, tightening method and operating environment before use.
